Who We Are
Tau3 Insurance Solutions started as a one-person blog in early 2026. My name is Michael Torres, and I'm a delivery driver based in Austin, Texas. I created this site after a personal financial disaster: I drove without insurance for three months and ended up paying over $4,200 in fines, impound fees, and SR-22 premium hikes.
I couldn't find a single website that told me the real numbers — not the generic "up to $1,000 fine" that every insurance blog copies from each other. So I decided to build Tau3 as the resource I wish I had before my mistake.
What Makes Us Different
- Real Texas data: Every number on this site comes from Texas DPS filings, court records, or my personal experience. We don't copy-paste from other blogs.
- Updated for 2026: Texas insurance laws changed on January 1, 2026. Most websites still show old fines. We don't.
- No generic advice: You won't find "save money by shopping around" here. You'll find exact steps, real forms, and specific phone numbers.
- Human-written: Every article is written by me or reviewed by a licensed insurance agent in Texas (John Harris, license #TX-1827364).
Our Mission
By the end of 2026, Tau3 Insurance Solutions aims to help 10,000 Texas drivers avoid SR-22 penalties through free, accurate, and actionable guides. We don't sell insurance. We don't collect your email for spam. We just share what actually works in Texas.
